Red Brigade is a women-led organization founded by activist Usha Vishwakarma to help survivors of rape and sexual as well as domestic violence. Since its inception in 2011, 'Red Brigade' has helped over 2 lakh women overcome their obstacles and gain empowerment through jobs and a sense of identity. With rampant sexual violence against women across Uttar Pradesh and the government as well as the police's inability to curb the crimes or properly punish all perpetrators, the women of Red Brigade have taken it into their own hands to empower young women and girls in nearby villages of Lucknow through its '100 Days 100 Villages' mission.
