Bestiality has once again come to light after a man was caught having sex with a goat in Sharpeville south of Gauteng. The SPCA said the goat was found alive but died later. In the past few years there have been a number of cases of bestiality that have made headlines, last year a man from Mpumalanga was fined R500 for raping a chicken. In a separate incident involving animal cruelty a pair were each fined R30 000 in Zastron for giving Capuchin monkey brandy and Cokethe pair were also found guilty of transporting another Capuchin monkey to the Free State without the necessary permit, and each fined R10 000 Today on Newsroom we ask how common are these cases.
