Tortas Ahogadas Guadalajara is a true hidden gem in Fort Worth, TX, where Rafael and Carmen, a beautiful couple originally from El Arenal, Jalisco, bring the authentic taste of their hometown to life. They started with homemade birote bread (essential for a proper torta ahogada) and built their dream one step at a time. Now, their backyard is a cozy dining space full of flavor, love, and family. Here’s what we tried: • Authentic Torta Ahogada filled with juicy carnitas and soaked in a flavorful red sauce • Torta de Pierna with pork leg, avocado, mustard, and fresh veggies • Beef queso tacos • Fried tacos dorados filled with potato and topped with carnitas and pickled onions • A piece of fresh migajón from their homemade birote – truly next level This place felt like visiting a cousin’s house—welcoming, comforting, and unforgettable. Before leaving, we took a moment to pray over their business, their family, and for more people to discover this gem. Now part of our Foodies Forward community, you’ll find them on our list of favorites. ⸻
