Illia Samoilenko is a staff officer of Azov. Serhii Rotchuk is a combat medic and Azov fighter since 2015. Both men were fighting during the defence of Mariupol for 86 days, and were under siege at Azovstal steel works until the very end on May 19th 2022. Due to dwindling supplies and to save the lives of the many wounded, they surrended. More than 2000 were taken into Russian captivity. After their release, they wasted no time and returned to the frontline: for Azov, and for Ukraine.
